Amy’s Navy Strength Gin

Introducing Amy’s Navy Strength Gin, a gin that commands your attention.

The two key botanicals of Amy’s Navy Strength are ruby red grapefruit and vanilla bean. Complementary botanicals as the ruby red grapefruit delivers a refreshing citrus taste whilst the vanilla cuts through the sharpness of the grapefruit for a creamy smooth finish.

After distillation, we allow the gin to rest for eight weeks, allowing flavours to intertwine and deepen, resulting in a harmonious blend.

Our first batch of Amy’s Navy Strength is incredibly limited with less than 50 bottles produced.

“Like all great artists my debut gin is self-titled”, co-founder Amy Shaw

You may be asking, what do you mean debut gin? Well, up until the end of 2023 all gin’s crafted had be a collaboration by co-founders Amy and Gavin Shaw. Amy’s Navy Strength Gin was the first gin Amy formulated the recipe on her own.

“I had always known my debut gin would be a navy but deciding on what botanicals to distill and finalising the release was a nine month process. I love citrus and from my research I knew grapefruit would be the perfect citrus botanical for what what I looking to achieve. Vanilla pod was added to cut through the sharpness of the grapefruit and a heavy dose of juniper”.

Amy’s Navy Strength Gin also includes coriander seeds, cassia sticks, angelica root, lemon myrtle, anise myrtle.

Best ways to enjoy Amy's Navy Strength

A navy gin is a great addition to any gin cocktail recipes as it’s higher ABV it is able to maintain it’s gin character even in small amounts. Also the higher ABV means the gin maintains more of the essential oils from the distillation making it perfect gin for a cocktail. If you like to keep things simple, enjoy some over ice with a twist it is just as satisfying.

The Gins we bought are delicious and the personal notes you sent with each delivery were very much appreciated. I truly hope your business thrives and I can’t see otherwise based on the range and quality of your Gins.

It’s always a thrill when a new Navy strength gin arrives and this one is not only flavoursome but different. Many Navy gins are juniper lead but ‘Amy’s Navy Strength’ has grapefruit up front with vanilla and makes silk feel rough. Hillmartin Distillery is most worthy of checking out and one to keep an eye on.

Spirited fun
We make gin because we love and have fun doing it. We’ve both had careers in different industries and growing HM Gin is just simply fun. We want all the gin lovers to have just as much fun enjoying HM gin as we do making it.
Every HM Gin must be smooth. No if buts about it, even though we know not everyone enjoys gin neat, for us if it’s not smooth, it’s not a HM Gin.
As a father daughter duo everything we do comes back to family, creating and sharing memories together. This extends to all the gin lovers, through our gins and hospitality
